Brawl Stars February Tier List — Ranking All 23 Brawlers

Welcome to our newest tier list! Today, we’ll rank all 21 brawlers into four respective tiers (S, A, B, C) along with individual ratings for each of the seven game modes (Great, Good, Average, Excellent).

This is based on the current meta, and we’ll be releasing a new tier list with each update. Remember that exploiting the meta is essential in Brawl Stars, and so you need to know which brawlers are good in which game modes to succeed. Enjoy!

S Tier

crow black skinCrow

Poison ticks and quick movements make this brawler the deadliest of all in most game modes. With the recent changes to his super, making it faster, he can easily retreat or attack to take down the enemy. His poison shows the location of enemies that are hiding in bushes which is especially helpful on maps such as Snake Prairie or Feast or Famine. The poison also forces Brawlers to retreat, making him useful in timed events such as heist.

His quick speed not only lets him become a possible gem carrier on Smash and Grab events; it is also useful in heist for reaching the safe quicker after spawning. Many can agree that he can be the most annoying brawler to face with not much of a counter unless one can ambush him with a tank.

Smash and Grab: Good

Bounty: Great

Showdown: Good

Brawl Ball: Good

Heist: Great

Robo Rumble: Average

Boss Battle: Great

tara drawingTara

With an amazing super, she is easily ranked in the S Tier. Usually compared to Shelly due to their shared medium range and health, she comes out on top with diversity in many game modes. Tara’s super is able to pull back enemies and clump them together to deal massive amounts of damage since her attacks have the ability to hit multiple targets at once.

Robo Rumble: Average

A Tier

Ricochet

With the highest DPS in the game, don’t underestimate this low health brawler. His attack can reach the enemy at impossible angles with increased damage if he also has his star power. He is almost a necessity in Robo Rumble if you want to reach max coins on the event.

Long range also plays a part in Ricochet’s usefulness in different modes. This Brawler also has an average skill cap. Meaning that with a little practice, many are able to master his shot angles.

Smash and Grab: Great

Brawl Ball: Good

Robo Rumble: Great

Boss Battle: Average

spike green skinSpike

This little guy can pack a big punch. His super can be used as a means of crowd control, slowing down enemies or making them avoid a certain area for a short period of time. With a spread shot, he can be hard to dodge, even if behind cover. If his star power is unlocked, this cactus will be an unstoppable tank with his super.

Brawl Ball: Good

Robo Rumble: Average

Barley

One of the biggest threats in Showdown and Heist, this robot has one of the highest damaging supers in the entire game. His super also possesses ridiculous range and duration, making it hard for enemies not to get damaged. He is deadly in packs but relatively easy to kill if alone in showdown. Not too overpowered in any game mode, but if combined with other S tiered or A tiered brawlers, he can be a game changer.

Brawl Ball: Good

Robo Rumble: Great

Boss Battle: Good

colt red hairColt

A good choice for all game modes. With his most recent nerf concerning his once ridiculous range and reload time, Colt now sits in A tier. However, his speed in the form of star power makes up for the nerfs. His DPS is still impressive, and can easily kill enemies off with precision and accuracy. A veteran player can easily take Colt from an A tier to an S tier.

Smash and Grab: Good

Bounty: Good

Showdown: Good

Brawl Ball: Good

Heist: Great

Robo Rumble: Great

Boss Battle: Good

piper drawingPiper

Piper is without a doubt the most frustrating brawler to face if used right. When maxed, Piper is able to two-shot most brawlers. She has one of the best ranges in the game, but calculating the angles can be hard to master.

Because of the recent tank movement buff, Piper is vulnerable when alone. Her slow reload speed also makes her one of the worst brawlers for heist besides Poco or Mortis.

Smash and Grab: Average

Bounty: Great

Showdown: Bad

Brawl Ball: Average

Heist: Bad

Robo Rumble: Horrible

Boss Battle: Bad

poco character drawingPoco

His widespread range is helpful when you need to attack multiple brawlers at once. An excellent choice for Smash and Grab, being able to stay alive longer than most characters by using his super to heal himself and teammates.

His star power can now heal allies just by attacking them! His slow reload speed and average damage makes it hard to kill enemies on his own, but with some help, he can make some amazing plays.

Smash and Grab: Great

Bounty: Good

Brawl Ball: Good

Robo Rumble: Horrible

el primo king skinEl Primo

El Primo is the better of the tank brawlers due to his super ability. It allows him to travel to different areas of the map while giving him immunity to any damage, a privilege Bull doesn’t have. It is also a splash attack, helping to destroy walls and clear a relatively big area.

He is a good counter to Mortis in Brawl Ball and can handle the damage to walk the ball into the goal. Primo isn’t able to reach long range brawlers but can ambush them if they walk too close. Overall, he is a great aggressive character and can carry his own weight.

Smash and Grab: Good

Showdown: Good

Brawl Ball: Great

Heist: Average

Robo Rumble: Average

Boss Battle: Good

Bo

A trained hunter and archer, Bo is a common support brawler in Bounty and Smash and Grab. His mines can catch people off guard and deals a knock-back effect that was recently implemented. He is a good gem carrier and can hold his own weight in a 1v1 situation. His star power allows for team cooperation and can help him avoid incoming danger. He should be played as an aggressive support.

B Tier

Shelly

Shelly has decent range and deals a ridiculous amount of damage when you face her up close. Her star power allows her to slow down enemies for easier kills. As a very powerful early brawler, she is great for players in lower trophy ranges where not all or most of their brawlers are unlocked. As the game progresses, people may prefer Tara over Shelly due to her superior super.

Smash and Grab: Good

Showdown: Good

Brawl Ball: Good

Heist: Bad

Robo Rumble: Bad

Boss Battle: Average

Bull

Massive damage up close, Bull poses as the master brawler in close range combat. Sadly, not many situations allow him to get right up to the target. His super allows him to move across the map but leaves him weak to damage while he’s charging. With his recent buff in movement speed, he has become a much better brawler in Bounty — being able to bob and weave past bullets to reach the enemy.

Showdown: Good

Brawl Ball: Good

Robo Rumble: Bad

Darryl

The newest brawler shows some striking similarities to Bull but also some differences. He does some major damage up close, but it’s spread wider. Darryl also has a longer range and lower hit points. Bull can be a replacement Darryl and vise versa as they both also have similar play styles in each game mode.

Pam

A force to be reckoned with in Smash and Grab (SnG), this lady is a defensive tank. She is ranked in the B tier because of her lack of usability in other game modes. Pam’s healing turret is very useful for team matches that require people to hold certain vantage point. If you’re looking for a SnG brawler, look no further..

Smash and Grab: Great

Bounty: Good

Showdown: Average

Brawl Ball: Average

Heist: Bad

Robo Rumble: Average

Boss Battle: Good

Jessie

On the weak side of most game modes, Jessie will need her trusty turret for support. She is commonly seen in SnG or Brawl Ball where she can charge her super quickly and place her turret strategically. When her star power is unlocked, Jessie can become a one man army with her turret.

Smash and Grab: Good

Bounty: Average

Showdown: Bad

Brawl Ball: Good

Heist: Horrible

C Tier

mortis drawingMortis

His frailty is what made him land in C Tier, but an excellent Mortis player can excel in Brawl Ball and Smash and Grab. While he lost his speed, he still has his main attack to dash forward (perfect for collecting gems or dribbling). His main attack is used mostly for escaping, so don’t expect to kill tanks very often.

His star power allows him to last longer in the battlefield. Mortis would’ve been higher in the list if he still kept his initial speed and range. A very controversial brawler to say the least.

Smash and Grab: Good

Bounty: Average

Showdown: Average

Brawl Ball: Great

Heist: Horrible

Robo Rumble: Horrible

Boss Battle: Average

Dynamike

Easy to dodge and fairly easy to kill, Dynamike lands in the C tier. His star power allows him to jump over walls, which so far, doesn’t seem useful in the current meta. His star power is useful in heist maps like GG Corral however. Experienced players are able to predict the pathing of the enemies, but average players tend to miss his throws. He is weak alone but when teaming in Showdown, his dynamite becomes extremely hard to dodge.

Bounty: Horrible

Brawl Ball: Good

Heist: Average

Robo Rumble: Average

Boss Battle: Average

nita bear skinNita

Nita ranks in the lowest tier because the current meta is filled with tanks that outclass her in damage and health. Nita’s range allows her to hide behind her bear, using it to shield her from attacks.

But the bear can be gunned down instantly by tanks. She is useful in game modes that aren’t kill based, such as Smash and Grab or Brawl Ball but tanks also reign supreme in those modes.

Smash and Grab: Average

Bounty: Average

Showdown: Average

Brawl Ball: Good

Heist: Bad

Robo Rumble: Bad

Boss Battle: Good

Brock

His range is decent, and his missiles hit hard. A good Brock player should be able to predict enemy movements since his attacks are fairly easy to dodge. His super, like Barley’s, is hard to escape if you’re caught inside it. Piper fulfills the role of a long range sniper much better and therefore outclasses Brock. But if you don’t like the range-based damage, Brock can be an excellent alternative.

Smash and Grab: Average

Bounty: Good

Showdown: Bad

Brawl Ball: Average

Heist: Average

Robo Rumble: Average

Boss Battle: Bad

Thanks for reading! Our tiers are based on our own opinions, and a good brawler is able to utilize all brawlers effectively, not just the ones in the current meta. Keep on brawling!
